Syed Rasheeduddin Ahmed had started providing Halal/Haram food products' list to Chicago Muslims in 1985 after research at Dominick’s and Jewel supermarkets. The Halal food list was published in IFANCA's newsletter. The first edition of Halal food book "A Comprehensive List of Halal Food Products in US Supermarkets" was published in 1991. The Hadya from four editions of Halal food books was given to Islamic Community of Fairfield County’s masjid building funds in Connecticut. The organization was registered in 1993. The Hadya from the 5th to the 7th editions was used to publish the next edition. The MCG website was started in 2000 and Alhumdulillah, it became very popular by the Grace of Allah.The web statistics record was over 750,000 to over a million hits every month, sometimes over 10,000 visitors a month and sometimes over 36,000 hits a day. This website is logged in over 110 countries and is maintained by Br. Nazeer Syed of Web Solutions and his associates. The New website was designed by Br. Syed Tanveer of Rolling Meadows, IL in 2005. MCG consults with Mufti Mohammed Hafeezur Rahman Khan of Huston, TX Mufti Syed Ahmed ul Quadri of IDEA Dallas, TX and various Ulema at Jamai Nizamia Hyderabad, India on Sharia rules for Halal foods.

Secretary Dr. Mohammed Bari Ph.D of Salinas, CA, is a Entomologist from University of California, Davis working for Artichoke Growers of California. He received his M.Sc(Agri) in Entomolgy from AP Agricultural University Hyderabad, India and assisted MCG in identifying the insect whic.h secrete food ingredient Shellac.
Dr. Iqbal Ahmed is a retired supervisory veterinary Medical officer at USDA Food Safety Inspection Service. He graduated from Osmania University Veterinary Collage Hyderabad, India. He is also in charge of Muslim Veterinary Medical Association website www.muslimvet.org .
Yousuf Ahmed has a BS in Management and holding food sanitation license from state of Illinois. He helps MCG in Halal inspection. He works as a director of operation of a global food service company which provides foods at different sport arenas.
Aamer Syed Ahmed is a computer Engineer and he help MCG at the booths at IFT shows and ISNA. He also typed the 7th edition of Halal Food book.
Syed Rasheeduddin Ahmed is the founder and President of MCG. He has a Master degree in Agriculture with Horticulture major from AP Agricultural University Hyderabad, India and another Master degree in Cereal Technology from North Dakota State University Fargo, ND. He worked for Kraft Foods, Nabisco, General Foods, Domino Pizza, Prince Macaroni Company, Newly Weds Foods, Best Eaton Donuts chain in Rhode Island and MLO in California. He developed a Halal Orchard Fruit Bars in 2006 for Starbucks Coffee Company at Eli Cheesecake company Chicago, IL, besides developing 17 new food products for different food companies for supermarkets. He has extensive knowledge about the food ingredients/food products and spent most of his time in commercializing new products on various lines in food plants.
Brother Syed Rasheeduddin Ahmed feels that Allah Subhanahu Wa Taala has given him knowledge of Halal foods for the purpose to spread to all Muslims so that they can eat only Halal foods. He is doing this work without any monetary gain to please Allah Subhanahu Wa Taala.
