Specially Dentured alcohol is Halal because intoxication quality is destroyed by adding chemicals.Myristyle alcohol is a fatty alcohol made from animal or plant fat, it is Halal only if it is made from vegetable fat. It does not have intoxication qulaity and does not have alcohol. Lano lin alcohol is also a fatty alcohol obtained from sheep wool and it is Halal. Phenoxy ethanol is a chemical solvent obtained from petroleum and it is Halal. butylene glycol is a chemical compound and is consider Halal.

There are many alcohol named ingredients which do not contain ethyl alcohol such as sugar alcohol. - AOA One of our Muslim consumer has sent a letter to us on Feed back section, based on that letter from Dr. Pepper, we recommend not to drink 7 Up and Dr. Pepper. Please double check with Dr. Peppers, sometime 800 people do not want to go into detail and look data on their screen and gave wrong information. It happened to me, on same day two different people gave me two different answers, then I went to Manager to complained about it and got the right information.

- AOA On our web site we educate Muslims on Alert section, Ingredients section that all Kosher certified food products and ingredients are not unless they meet the Halal requirements. We provide a list of 14-16 ingredients which makes a kosher certified food as not Halal products. Please read those ingredients in Alert or ingredients section. Vanilla extract contains 35% alcohol and it is not a Halal ingredient based on our sharia rules but for Jewish consumers alcohol is permitted in their kosher certified food products and food ingredient.

- AOA On May 10, 2002 we have alerted Muslims on our old website that why Doritos and cheetos are not Halal. It was lost when transferring from old website to new website. Please read it on our Alerts section. The supervisor at Fritolay 800 number has told me that all the cheese seasonings used on Fritolay products contain pork rennet. They have to clean their act, if they are putting wrong information on their web and telling something else on phone. It is not me, they are giving this information to many Muslim consumers and there are e-mail circulating in groups to warn Muslims not to eat Dorotos and Cheetose. Even some of their products with Kosher symbol are not Halal because they contain yeast extract obtained from beer making and Torula yeast which are grown on alcohol or sugar cane. Our information are true, I think you need to read our criterai section where we provide rules for giving Halal status to a food product. If they say some products are made with pork then what gurantee they provide to you that pork containing leftover on the line is not contaminated with product without pork. You have to understand there are some line which can not be washed. Please you have to understand that food products can not be Halal even if they do not contain pork.The bottom line is that all Doritos and all Cheetos products are not Halal based on MCG criteria since 2002. If you want to consume it, MCG will not have no objection. Our job is to provide the information.

- AOA Nutritinall there are no difference between organic and non organic vegetables. Usally fruit are not grown orgaanically because the age of fruit trees. Fruits and vegetables grown throughout world are Halal with or without fertilizer, pesticides. The insects secretion are washed away before use.

- AOA Null means no inforamtion is avaialble why it is not Halal. This is an old data. Lindt products are not Halal because they are not kosher certified and made in Germany. We do not whay kind of hidden ingredients they add to the chocolate products, it could be Halal or not Halal.

- AOA Not in USA but I heard some one making in Ohio. But you can cook the zabiha meat and grind it in a blender and mixed with our listed Halal baby vegetables in Baby Foods section. I think this is the only option but before do it consult with baby's physian.

- AOA Not every product, both in Malaysia and Indonesia, alcohol in small quantity is allowed in the products, I asked this question at Halal foods seminar in Malaysia in 2004. You have to judge each product whether it contains natural flavor with alcohol as a solvent, yeast extract from beer, naturally brewed soy sauce, L-cysteine from human hair or duck feathers and many more. If a product is made with wheat flour, water, sugar, salt, yeast with no hidden ingredients, if it is Halal certified in Malaysia, then it will be accepted in USA.

The composition of wine is: Water 80-85% Alcohol 10-20% Acids 0.4 - 1% sugar 0.1%(because all sugar in grape is used to produce alcohol) Mineral Salts 0.2 to 0.4% Coloring substances 0.01 to 0.5% Aromatic substances 0.01 to 0.1% Sulphites 10 to 200 Part Millions 3. Manufacturing processes used in manufacture of alcohol free wine or beer: a. Alcohol free wine beverages is produced by using US patented process(4775538) where table wine is combined with demineralized water and poured into a centrifugal evaporator where alcohol is spinn off to produce a alcohol free wine base and grape juice concentrate is added to alcohol free wine base. b. Vacuum Distillation where real wine or real beer is exposed to vacuum where due to change in atmospheric pressure with low heat or no heat the alcohol is distilled off. c. Reverse Osmosis, a procedure used to clean impurities from drinking water. Most American homes has this unit under their kitchen sinks. The reverse Osmosis has filters with very minutes pores Through these pores filters only alcohol and water with volatile acids in wine and beer is filtered out of wine and beer without heat. Then those volatile acid and water is put back to a mixture of syrupy mixture of sugar, flavor compounds on the other side of filter after distilling out the alcohol from alcohol and water acid mixture. This is also called dealcoholized wine and beer. d. Non alcoholic sparkling wine or beer is made with a secondary fermentation to produce a non alcoholic sparkling wine or beer with less than 0.5% alcohol. Then carbon dioxide is forced to make a carbonated non alcoholic beer. 4. Another fact is that all the experts in this industry said that it is very difficult and very expensive to eliminate all alcohol from wine and beer. This is the reason Non Alcoholic beverages still contain some original alcohol from wine and beer. This lead to federal law about Non Alcoholic beverages which states that Non Alcoholic beverages can contain up to 0.5% original alcohol by volume. If you consider above breakdown of grape wine, the non alcoholic grape wine contains 5% to 10% original wine in the Non Alcoholic grape wine based on 10% to 20% alcohol content in grape wine and if the Non Alcoholic grape wine contains maximum 0.5% original alcohol according to federal law. So based on this calculation a Muslim who decide to consume Non Alcoholic grape wine is consuming 5% to 10% original grape in Non Alcoholic grape wine. 5. Another fact is that many producers of Non Alcoholic wine and beer want to keep the same original flavors compounds in Non Alcoholic wine and beer because to match original flavor and taste of wine. Some Non Alcohol wine and beer manufacturer want to keep same flavor and taste in the Non Alcoholic wine and beer. So times they add 2-2.5% residual sugar content to match
